I'm not sure why - maybe because he's so sweet? - but I've called Owen "Butter" since he was little. He also goes by "O", "Owie", and "Buddy".
Born in Koksheatu, Kazahkstan, Owen holds the distinction of being the youngest child on either side of the family to have a passport and to have completed a transatlantic flight before his 1st birthday.
For a long time, in response to any question you posed (for example, "Owen, do you want to play Legos?"), Owen would answer "if you want to!". That sums him up pretty well ... laid-back, eager (and easy) to please, and even-keeled.
He's not a chatterbox, but when he speaks it's often with a pretty-well developed sense of wit, and his laugh is one of pure happiness. Owen is friendly and kind and loves animals. He's almost always smiling. He adores playing basketball with Daddy, can't wait for T-Ball season, likes SpongeBob and Skittles, and is guaranteed to be awake later at night then any other toddler in the neighborhood (but he also lets us sleep in, so all's good).
And oh yeah ... he has a small thing for John Deere tractors.
