Go Cearra! Go Go Cearra!

Almost four years ago, Cearra arrived on Mary Baldwin's campus and signed up for the Cheerleading Club. Her experience in game and competition cheering, combined with her love for the sport, enabled her to promote and grow the group into a squad that is recognized and appreciated by her fellow students and faculty.

Cearra was one of only two women who cheered all four years for MBC, and she served as Captain and Coach for both her junior and senior year. This weekend she was honored before the last home basketball game of the season (along with the other senior cheerleader and two senior players) for her dedication and excellence.

We were thrilled to be there to escort her onto center court and proudly stand by her side as the crowd clapped and pictures were snapped! Nana and Pop-pop enjoyed the game and their first visit to MBC as well.

It was a great weekend ... and we managed to ride off before the snow hit!

What a wonderful and well deserved, tribute to a wonderful student, cheerleader, daughter, sister, and granddaughter! I am so sorry I missed such a special week-end, but so glad her Nana and Pop-pop were there to enjoy her accomplishments and cheer her on!

Jodi you and Bobby deserve so much credit for the outstanding, young lady Cearra has become. But much credit goes to Cearra herself for her determination and integrity.

I didn't realize until today how she "promoted and helped grow the group into a squad"... WOW what an accomplishment.

Congratulations Cearra, from a very proud Nanny!
