The Things We Do For Love

"Like walking in the rain and the snow, when there's nowhere to go" ... oh, er, wait a minute.

This blog post is about yet another thing I would have never imagined doing before a brown-eyed, sweet- smiled force of nature entered my life.

Seeing as this is Owen's current obsession:

we all knew how much he would love this ... Monster Jam at the Baltimore Arena.

Heck, Cee-Cee even came home for it and convinced Dennis to tag along. Now that's a great big sister (and boyfriend).

And actually, it really was fun! We met up and had a great time with Bob's cousin Liora, her hubby Kevin and their kids Nathan and Haily (I love that Miss Haily wore a sparkle headband for her first monster truck event!).

Inside the arena we all hooted and hollered with the best of them for Grave Digger and Spike and Monster Magic. Wheelies and races and jumps! It's pretty cool to see in person how big those suckers are and how much air they get. And I admit, the roar of an engine does kind of make my heart rev a few beats!

Yes, from the combine demolition derby and John Deere movies, to monster truck collections and watching the 2009 Monster Jam World Freestyle Championship video everyday, I'd do anything to make my baby boy happy.

And this sure did.

Little boys with big brown eyes can teach you a lot with their different interests! The boy's interests let you get dirty and make lots of noise. More fun than dress up and tea parties! A sparkly headband was the perfect thing to wear!
